Work Location: Kai Tak, Hong Kong Employment Duration: 24-month In support of the Company’s business development, we are looking for a high calibre of Corporate Affairs (CA) professional to join the Corporate Affairs (Business Operations) Department of CLP Power Hong Kong Limited. The appointee will be responsible for providing CA support to the operations business groups, and support communications for decarbonisation projects through the planning and execution CA programmes that promote the Company’s power expertise and reinforce our corporate image as a reliable electricity provider in powering Hong Kong responsibly. The appointee will have the following key responsibilities:  * Provide CA advice and support to line departments of operations business groups on external communication matters, covering proactive communication planning, stakeholder engagement at different stages of projects, and issues management  * Handle media enquiries and maintain good relationship with the media * Liaise closely with round-the-clock operations units to support timely communications * Monitor media sentiment and develop appropriate communication plans and strategies, including the preparation of lines-to-take  * Develop and execute CA programmes and publicity initiatives to promote the Company’s corporate image and power expertise  * Prepare well-crafted materials to facilitate effective media and stakeholder communications, including presentation decks, speeches, press releases, and other communication collateral * Perform other CA-related duties and ad hoc projects as required   Requirements: * A recognised Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or other related disciplines  * A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in public affairs, corporate communications or media relations, experience in journalistic field is a plus  * Excellent drafting skills in English and Chinese, with rich experience in producing timely and quality corporate written materials  * High sensitivity to current affairs and the political landscape, and versatility in issues management  * An established network with the media and strong knowledge of local media landscape * Able to deal with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve business objectives * A good team player who is proactive, result-oriented, able to work independently, and capable of handling complex and multiple tasks under pressure  * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese, and strong interpersonal skills  * Willing to work irregular hours and outside office hours   For internal application, only short-term employment contract’s terms and condition will be offered for this position regardless of job applicant’s current job category.
