QUALIFICATIONS WE LOOK FOR:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in plant and soil science or horticulture.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Licensed O&T commercial pesticide applicator (position does not require pesticide applications).
  • Licensed landscape horticulturist.
  • Holding appropriate local, state, and federal licenses or the ability to quickly qualify for the licenses.
  • Ability to diagnose, recognize, and identify plants in poor health and suffering from disease, insects, poor cultural practices, nutritional deficiencies, etc.
  • A clean criminal record.
  • Proficiency in both oral and written communication.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Ability to represent the company courteously and professionally.

COMPENSATION / BENEFITS:

  • Salary range $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
  • $500.00 monthly vehicle and $30.00 monthly phone allowance (additional $6,360.00 annually)

Responsibilities
  • Regular travel between corporate markets and offices. Up to 50% overnight travel.
  • Conducting routine property inspections.
  • Collecting soil, insect, and disease samples.
  • Identifying weeds.
  • Producing quality control reports, warranty inspection reports, and other technical reports.
  • Communicating with managers verbally and in writing.
  • Assisting in annual and quarterly horticultural employee training.
