As an Assistant Deli Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality deli products. We are looking for an Assistant Deli Manager to join our Esquimalt location team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Food Safety knowledge
  • Experience: Previous work in a deli or food service environment.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with deli products and food safety practices.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Passion: A genuine love for quality deli offerings and exceptional customer service. Great attitude and work ethic. Outgoing and energetic personality.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, evening and weekend availability.
Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Assist the Deli Manager with overseeing daily operations including food preparation.
  • Team Management: Assist with training and develop deli staff and supervise in various duties such as cooking, packaging, and serving.
  • Product Knowledge: Be well-versed in our deli products, including meats, cheeses, salads, and sandwiches.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and package sandwiches, pizza, salads, hot food, and more.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, place orders, and minimize waste.
  • Stocking & Display: Manage product storage, rotation, and merchandising.
  • Customer Service: Interact with customers, provide recommendations, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Food Safety: Adhere to health and safety regulations in food handling and sanitation.
