Job Summary: Venue: Live Nation Ireland Venue Reports to: General Manager Working Hours: Full time Job Type: Permanent Role Overview The Assistant/Deputy General Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for supporting the effective management and day-to-day operation of the venue. Working closely with the General Manager, you will help deliver exceptional customer experiences while ensuring the successful achievement of operational, commercial, and business objectives. You will be passionate about the live entertainment industry, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and lead by example to inspire high-performing teams and maintain the highest standards across all areas of the venue. About You You will bring a strong operational background within the live entertainment, events, hospitality, or venue management sector, together with excellent leadership and organisational skills. You will have: Proven experience within the live entertainment industry, venue management, or a similar operational environment. Management experience with responsibility for leading teams and overseeing day-to-day operations. A successful track record of managing live performances, events, or large-scale operational activities. Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation, licensing requirements, and venue compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. A strong understanding of live event operations and customer experience. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling operational costs. A proactive, self-motivated, and commercially focused approach with a commitment to achieving results. Key Responsibilities Support the General Manager in the overall leadership and management of the venue. Duty manages events, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest operational and customer service standards. Work collaboratively with internal departments, local authorities, emergency services, and external stakeholders. Act as the primary venue contact for promoters, touring productions, clients, and contracted events. Fulfil the role of Venue Safety Officer, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies, and licensing requirements. Support the development of the venue's event programme by identifying new commercial opportunities and maximising the events diary. Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients, promoters, partners, contractors, and service providers. Assist the General Manager with financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. Monitor operational expenditure, reviewing cost estimates and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining service standards. Contribute to achieving the Company's commercial objectives, business targets, and overall strategic goals. Ensure all operational documentation, compliance records, and reporting are accurately completed, maintained, and securely retained. Support licensing administration, risk assessments, emergency planning, and venue compliance activities. Ensure full compliance with all current and emerging health and safety legislation, company policies, and operational procedures. Maintain the venue, facilities, and operational departments to the highest possible standards, identifying and escalating maintenance issues where required. Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and team members, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
