REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ASSISTANT DESIGN MANAGER

• Experience in industrial or commercial construction design
• Understanding of steel frame structures and warehouse layouts
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
• Strong communication and coordination skills
• Relevant construction/design qualifications

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Assistant Design Manager, you’ll support the Design Manager in coordinating design information between consultants, subcontractors, and the site team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that design solutions are practical, buildable, and aligned with project timelines and budgets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR AN ASSISTANT DESIGN MANAGER

• Assist in managing design deliverables and schedules
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Review drawings and specifications for compliance and build ability
• Support value engineering and design optimisation
• Ensure design information is issued and understood on site
• Maintain design documentation and trackers
