SUMMARY

The Assistant Director of Digital Experience will play a key role in shaping how donors and grantee partners view CAF America – implementing our digital strategy and ensuring that users’ experience with us is smooth, accessible, and intuitive. They will be responsible for overseeing the creation, development, and optimization of all digital touchpoints to ensure a seamless and engaging experience. The Assistant Director will lead a dynamic team that is responsible for our website, social media, and digital presence, and will play a central role in strategic decision making for the larger Marketing team, including capacity and budget planning, team development, and project management. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive digital initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.

USER JOURNEYS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Analyze and map user journeys to identify key touchpoints and opportunities for improvement, ultimately driving increased conversions.
  • Track audiences across multiple platforms and ensure data integrity throughout their journey.
  • Conduct research and propose strategies, using data-driven insights, to improve and streamline user experience across all digital channels; design wireframes, implement testing, launch changes, and track performance.
  • Lead UX design efforts to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces, including conducting usability testing and gathering feedback to improve digital products and services.

  • Must be eligible to work legally in the United States.
  • 2+ years experience managing a team or a similar role, especially in developing and leading remote staff.
  • 4+ years of experience in digital channel development with demonstrated expertise in website development and management.
  • Proven ability with UX/UI development.
  • Experience with CMS change and/or other large-scale technology upgrades is a plus.
  • Extensive SEO experience and content strategy.
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape and how it can be used to support and develop a brand.
  • Broader digital skills encompassing mobile and web content strategy and customer journeys.
  • Interest in the mentoring of and partnering with colleagues to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects and timelines while being detail oriented.
  • Interest or experience in working in international philanthropy, grantmaking, and the nonprofit sector.

COMPUTER/SOFTWARE EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience with WordPress platform
  • Familiarity and acuity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Google Workspace

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in a relevant field highly desired; and four-to-five years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of work experience within the nonprofit sector and digital marketing field.
    Salary Range - $84k - $90k
