EDUCATOR PREPARATION PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise Region 4’s EPP implementation, from program participation through certification of EPP candidates.
- Understand key characteristics of the federal and state accountability systems, Bluebonnet Learning curriculum, effective instructional strategies, Reading Academies, Math Academies, T-TESS, and T-PESS.
- Provide necessary support to program participants through personal communications, information sessions, and related events.
- Anticipate and address field-based issues with a high degree of responsiveness and follow through.
- Communicate effectively to ensure program and school staff are fully aware and supportive of program components and certification expectations.
- Maintain current knowledge of state certification regulations and ensure program compliance with such.
- Oversee ASEP and Title II compliance.
- Oversee the program practicum component including internship, clinical teaching support, residency support, registered apprenticeships, field supervision, and communications with participating school systems.
- Ensure the continuous good standing of Region 4 Education Service Center under the state accountability system for educator preparation programs as “Accredited” through excellent data reporting and compliance with program state and federal requirements.
- Collaborate with the department team to supervise the development, planning, implementation, and presentation of effective professional learning, products, and services in the area of educator preparation to improve student outcomes.
Provide expert technical assistance to area districts related to compliance with state and federal laws, state policy and regulations, and adherence to ethical and legal standards that impact educator preparation.

REGION 4 ESC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, present, and facilitate effective professional learning sessions, series, convenings, and conferences.
- Engage in professional development to maintain knowledge and skills in area(s) of responsibility.
- Provide technical assistance and services as specified by any applicable federal grant that supports this position.
- Collect program data, maintain accuracy of information, and submit data reports as needed by the Department Director as well as state and federal agencies in support of accountability measures.
- Assist the Department Director with budget development and management for Region 4’s EPP.
Support the Department Director in ensuring annual goals for Region 4’s EPP are met, including internship/clinical teacher placement targets.

TEXAS MENTORING TRAINING GRANT RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the Regional Coordinator - ESC Mentoring Fellow completes all orientation, training, and learning activities as requested by the US PREP team and TEA team, which may include reading and reviewing material, learning about supported LEAs, and attending learning sessions.
- Ensure the Regional Coordinator - ESC Mentoring Fellow earns certification to redeliver the TMT training.
- Ensure the Regional Coordinator - ESC Mentoring Fellow redelivers TMT through a Trainer-of-Trainers (ToT) model and receive coaching from the contractor and TEA on redelivery.
Ensure the Regional Coordinator - ESC Mentoring Fellow creates a Region 4 ESC TMT business model for the TMT to operationalize district support and maintain sustainability.

Texas Strategic Staffing State Lead Grant Responsibilities :
- Ensure the State Lead – Texas Strategic Staffing (State Lead – TSS) coaches and provides implementation support to other ESCs.
- Ensure the State Lead – TSS provides collaborative support to the US PREP Lead during design and implementation years for strategic staffing from pipeline to leadership (P2L).
Ensure the State Lead – TSS provides Texas Strategic Staffing training support and facilitation to program participants.

Texas Strategic Staffing: ESC Direct Grant Responsibilities :
- Attend regular virtual check-ins with TEA to receive updates on the current progress of Region 4 and statewide updates on the strategic staffing service
- Ensure the Regional Facilitator – Texas Strategic Staffing (Regional Facilitator – TSS) completes training and coaching sessions needed to provide high quality technical assistance to LEAs.
Ensure the Regional Facilitator supports the LEA and partner in the design and implementation of a strategic staffing model plan that will ensure the teacher residency model is sustainable.
