 Position Assistant Director for Athletic Health Care Division: Athletics Department: Athletics Reports to: Vice President of Athletics and Athletic Operations  Position Summary   Leads the sports medicine program for Livingstone College Athletics and ensures the delivery of high-quality medical services to student athletes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities   The results you will deliver each day that matter most! * Oversee all athletic health care services for varsity sports.  * Establish policies and procedures supporting student-athlete safety * Maintain a relationship with medical partners within network of use * Coordinate injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation. * Maintain medical records and insurance documentation. * Ensure compliance with NCAA and instructional health care standards. * Supervise athletic training staff and graduate assistants. * Conduct performance evaluation and professional development  * Manage the sports medicine operating budget. * Coordinate medical coverage for practices and competitions * Other duties as assigned Education/ Experience   What you will need to be successful! A master's degree in athletic training or Sports Medicine is required * 5+ years of experience in college athletics (as an athletic trainer or similar role) * Experience working with multiple sports and managing medical coverage * Some lead or supervisory experience (over grad assistants, interns, or students) CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURE * BOC Certification (ATC – Certified Athletic Trainer) * Graduation from a CAATE-accredited program * Passing the national certification exam * State license (varies by state) * CPR/AED certifications * Continuing education to maintain certification Athletic Training Experience  * 2+ years of experience in intercollegiate athletic training or similar role * Experience working directly with student-athletes (evaluation, rehab, injury care)  * NCAA rules (Division 2) Life at Livingstone College   Why we believe you will love working at Livingstone College!!
