Description Department: VIR Resort Reports To: VIR Resort Director Purpose: The purpose of this position is to support the Resort Director in overseeing and operating the Resort/Guest Services department while driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining efficient workflows. Job Responsibilities: Operations & Department Oversight Oversee daily operations of Guest Services, Lodging, Housekeeping, Janitorial, Group Sales & Event Hospitality, Karting, Ticketing & Credentials, and Shipping & Receiving. Manage staff scheduling, training, and departmental coordination to ensure efficiency and high-quality service delivery. Develop and implement event logistics including load-in, parking, signage, camping buyouts, and porta john placement. Maintain inventory of VIR assets (tables, chairs, linens, etc.), ensuring organization, cleanliness, and proper storage. Establish and maintain training programs for all VIR Guest Services POS systems. Maintain accurate records of shortages, damages, maintenance requests, and security issues; submit work orders as needed. Manage guest services transactions (power, camping, paddock vehicle passes, long-term parking), ensuring compliance with cash-handling procedures, financial controls, and asset protection standards. Assist in managing departmental budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources Guest Services & Experience Deliver excellent customer service through attentive, courteous, and professional interactions with guests. Monitor guest feedback and implement strategies to improve satisfaction and loyalty. Ensure personalized services for special guests, hospitality groups, and event clients. Address and resolve guest complaints and concerns in a timely, professional manner. Procure, recruit, and plan for new and existing group sales clients while maintaining strong relationships to drive revenue and ensure repeat business Requirements Education or experience in hospitality, management, or related field is preferred Ability to work multiple weekends throughout the season and maintain a flexible schedule. Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong customer service orientation. Ability to identify and/or follow up sales leads and referrals. Ability to meet and/or exceed established sales targets. Knowledge of marketing/sales principles, strategies, and techniques. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to use independent judgment to analyze and resolve problems. Good time management and organizational skills. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
