Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Director to join our leadership team in providing a nurturing, engaging, and high-quality early learning environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting educators, ensuring each child’s experience is positive and meaningful, and fostering trusting, supportive relationships with families. Education & Credentials: Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required) Matriculation into a Bachelor’s Degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field (required) Must be Director Qualified under EEC regulations Prior leadership or supervisory experience in an early childhood setting- preferred Responsibilities: Support and mentor educators to ensure high-quality teaching practices and positive classroom environments Promote a developmentally-appropriate curriculum and daily schedule that encourage meaningful learning experiences for all children Foster strong, supportive partnerships with families built on trust, communication, and respect Collaborate with the Director to maintain compliance with EEC regulations/ policies and NAEYC standards Supervise, mentor and support ongoing professional development of educators Assist in maintaining program quality, documentation, and family communications Model and promote a positive, team-oriented culture throughout the program Required Skills: Strong leadership and mentoring abilities to support and guide educators Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with families, educators, and community partners Knowledge of child development, curriculum planning, EEC regulations and NAEYC standards Ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment in decision-making Organizational and time management skills to balance administrative and classroom responsibilities Collaborative mindset with a commitment to teamwork and professional growth Proficiency with technology and software, such as MS Office and ProCare If you are a motivated early childhood professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about helping educators and children reach their fullest potential, we invite you to apply and grow with us.
