Boston University seeks a strategic and collaborative Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications to support enrollment marketing efforts for its master’s and professional programs, with a primary focus on leveraging the Slate CRM to optimize communications and engagement with prospective students. This role will play a key part in the university’s adoption and implementation of Slate as a university wide graduate enrollment CRM. The Assistant Director will serve as a lead contributor in building, executing, and optimizing marketing communications through Slate, ensuring it is used effectively as a central tool for student engagement. This role focuses on developing and executing communication strategies that attract and engage prospective students, leveraging a deep understanding of enrollment marketing trends, digital tools, and CRM based best practices.
The Assistant Director will play a key role in content creation, planning, developing, and managing a variety of digital assets—including targeted emails, landing pages, website updates, and other enrollment focused communications—as a core component of the graduate enrollment marketing strategy. Working closely with BU’s school and college-based enrollment and marketing teams, the individual will ensure consistency, creativity, and strategic alignment with the university’s brand across all communications.
The ideal candidate will bring a mix of communication planning, content creation, CRM expertise (especially in Slate), and digital marketing know-how to enhance recruitment throughout the prospective student journey. Slate experience strongly preferred.
