JOB SUMMARY: Sycamores provides a spectrum of equitable mental health services, housing support services and coordinated care management through various programs to multicultural populations of all acuities. Although it serves a variety of consumers, the Agency focuses primarily on providing care to low-income, high-needs, at-risk children, youth, families, and adults.
The Sycamores Assistant Director (AD) for our Medi-Cal Managed Care Programs (MCP) is a management-level position responsible for oversight of the day-to-day administration of programming activities including direct supervision to a team of Lead Care Managers (LCM) and/or Outreach Specialist (Community Health Workers). The AD will also participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating the overall program and service delivery, including human resources associated with Medi-Cal Managed Care programs, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), Community Supports (CS) and/or Community Health Workers (CHW), consistent with the overall philosophy and practices of the Agency. This position requires knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations concerning care and MCP requirements, as well as supervisory techniques, personnel policies, and procedures. This AD will be called on to work collaboratively with other agency Departments as well as with MCP liaisons and other external stakeholders.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent (minimum of 4 years’ experience in health services related field).
  • Three years of supervisory experience, including some managerial experience.
  • One year housing experience required three years preferred.
  • Maintains all required licenses and certifications.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the framework of a Whole Person Care approach with knowledge of the integration of physical health, mental health, and substance use.
  • Experience with Enhanced Care Management/Community Supports and/or Managed Care Plans, Medi-Cal Managed Care or Health Care Industry Systems preferred.
  • Valid California Driver License and a driving record acceptable to the Agency’s insurance carrier.
