Description The Assistant Director of Community Life develops and implements programming to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. The Assistant Director of Community Life reports to the Director of Inclusion and Community Life and collaborates with the Office of Student Affairs on community programming. · Oversee Advisory programming and faculty/student placement · Oversee All School Lunch Programming o September, December, February, and April · Oversee Super Saturday Programming o September, October, December, January, February, and April · Oversee Opening Weekend Orientation Programming · Representation of Community Life in internal meetings o Student Affairs/Community Life weekly meetings o Honor Code/Disciplinary Faculty Committee member · Assist the Director of Inclusion and Community Life with Student Leadership Conferences participation, travel, and training o Coordinate domestic and international travel with our Global Pathways Program · Teach 1-2 classes and/or 1-2 after-school activities, as well as fulfill a full residential life duty · Other duties as assigned Requirements · Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and organizational skills · Ability to work independently and as a part of a high-performing team, with exceptional initiative and judgment · Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize tasks as needed · Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with appropriate discretion Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and select weekends, and emergencies · Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds · Generally, works in standard office conditions and climate · The role involves balancing deadlines, responding to competing needs, and adapting to changing priorities. · May work at a desk and computer for extended periods
