POSITION SUMMARY:

Eastern Illinois University is seeking candidates for a full-time position for Assistant Director of Data Administration in the Office of University Advancement. This position will be responsible for being a key partner in comprehensive database management, development of portfolio creation and oversight, data integrity, data supervision and intentional report building. This position reports to the Director of Advancement Operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • A total of three (3) years in education, training and/or work experience in the area specialization inherent to the position. (Master’s degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.
  • Based on position requirements, additional education, training and/or work experience in specialization inherent to the position may be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience building, refining and measuring new data management and analysist processes.
  • A sound knowledge of business administration principles, such as: data analysis, prospect management, process improvement, and strategic planning.
  • Proven work experience with CRM oversight, data management, record analysis, report writing and/or prospect analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning abilities.
  • Experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Master’s degree.
  • Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud or other CRM software.
  • Higher education advancement experience.
  • Comprehensive campaign experience.
  • Experience in comprehensive portfolio creation and management.
  • Alumni and advancement data coordination or management experience.
  • Experience in data-driven outreach strategy.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources
  • Skill in analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Skill in scheduling events, programs, and activities, as well as the work of others.
  • Skill in oral and written communication
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences

Responsibilities
  • Assist with facilitating reports to analyze the efficiency and efficacy of prospect portfolio management.
  • Coordinate and administer Raiser’s Edge NXT
  • Coordinate intentional and data driven report and query practices and support of daily Advancement operations.
  • Coordinate ongoing data audits and write new reports
  • Spearhead comprehensive and detailed prospect reports
  • Assist with special campaign projects and identified by leadership
  • Work on special projects as assigned
  • Attend and participate in meetings, workgroups, committees, etc.
  • Keep informed of prospect and data analysis industry trends, techniques and best practices.
  • Oversee internal data security and record management audit processes and procedures
  • Work closely with Advancement staff
  • Demonstrate understanding of data structure in current and future states
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
