Description

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, creative writing or related field
  • Experience with email marketing software platforms
  • Ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language
  • Physical mobility and dexterity to transport files and operate general office equipment (telephone, fax, copier, computer, etc.)
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Experience in Canva preferred
  • Must be able to work evening and weekend functions as necessary
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed
  • Membership in a Fraternity/Sorority preferred
  • Two to four years of relevant experience preferred

Experience with AP Style preferred

  • Member of the Fraternity Communications Association (FCA)
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OR FUNCTIONS:

  • Create and manage a content calendar for AOII social media channels, online blog, and email campaigns
  • Oversee AOII Hootsuite platform for scheduling and publishing social media content
  • Monitor AOII social media sites, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, and engage with audience members
  • Create written content for email marketing campaigns, parent communications, social media campaigns, blog posts, To Dragma articles, annual reports, video scripts, promotional resources, and other communications projects
  • Partner with the Director of Communications to write and distribute general news releases and announcements to internal and external publics as outlined in the Fraternity Communication Plan
  • Copyedit content created by other staff members and volunteers as needed
  • Provide coaching and support to collegiate chapters to strengthen written communications on their respective social media platforms and other communications projects
  • Develop and assist with email campaigns
  • Ensure written content maintains one consistent voice of AOII
  • Collaborate with the Communications team on public relations initiatives and strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Serve on the Communications team to support AOII in any related duties required or requested by the Executive Director or Assistant Executive Director
  • Member of the Fraternity Communications Association (FCA)
