Assistant Director of Housekeeping - Tempo by Hilton New York Times Square
The iconic is seeking an assistant director of housekeeping to join their leadership team! This stylish 661-room hotel is steps from restaurants, shops and Broadway theaters and additionally within a mile of Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, and Grand Central Station!
This position will report to the Director of housekeeping and manage a team of 6 floor managers, one office manager and as many as 65 hourly team members on a shift.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess 3-5 years of housekeeping management (floor or otherwise) experience at a property of comparable size and overseeing a union team. Previous experience with Hilton brand would be considered an asset!
Shift Pattern: candidates should be available to work both AM and PM shifts as needed (weekend availability required)
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually with any final offer based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Director in ensuring cleanliness, service and product quality standards of guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, offices and banquet/meeting/conference rooms in accordance with federal, local and company health, sanitation and safety standards
  • Plan, distribute, delegate and direct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual work assignments
  • Inspect public areas and guest rooms to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards
  • Assist the Director in the administration of systems use and management, budgeting and forecasting, inventory control, department management, policy and procedure implementation and enforcement and meeting participation and facilitation
  • Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
  • Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations #LI-GL
