Description Kansas Farm Bureau is seeking an Assistant Director of Leadership Programs. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing programs, resources and training to enhance KFB member engagement in leadership across the organization and throughout the communities statewide. Responsibilities Coordinates teams, planning and execution of development programs including (but not limited to) Ag Academy, Leadership KFB and Casten Fellows. Participates in rotational leadership of those programs. Manages database of KFB’s leadership programming and alumni network of past participants. Ensures evaluations and measurements are implemented across all leadership programming and dashboards are used to summarize metrics and impacts. Oversees development of alumni network and ongoing opportunities. Works to ensure KFB maximizes its continuum of development programs for growth and engagement. Seeks opportunities to improve programs. Collaborates with KFB staff to assess needs, develop strategic plans and ensure resources for success across the organization. Supports other leadership and training needs of the department and organization, as needed. Serves on company committees as requested by KFB leadership or peers. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in leadership training and volunteer management. Must be a self-starter, organizer and possess the ability to work well with others. Must have a high level of integrity. Requires public speaking skills and a wide degree of creativity. Understanding of financial information and experience managing budgets. Proficient analytical skills and the ability to make logical decisions in support of the organization's philosophy and direction. Must possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills and be able to relate well with the Farm Bureau membership and others. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Prefers experience with database management or customer relationship management systems. Prefers agricultural background and/or prior experience. Authority Manages the development of programs to enhance volunteer leadership and engagement. Manages multiple event budgets and lines in coordination with other staff and teams. Relationships Works daily with KFB leadership, planning teams and program leads to establish training and development priorities and planning and to maximize KFBs impact across the state. Works with KFB leadership, division directors and field staff to seek continuous improvement of Farm Bureau resources and support. Has frequent contact with the KFB president, state board members, county leaders and members.
