About Highland Oaks Small 52-bed long-term care, skilled nursing facility Family-like atmosphere among residents and staff 5-Star CMS rating 7:1 CNA ratio 26:1 Staff/Floor Nurse ratio Additional administrative nursing team includes a full-time Director of Nursing, a full-time Clinical Care Coordinator, a full-time MDS Coordinator and a part-time Infection Preventionist. Position Responsibilities Lead the CNA team to ensure that our residents are receiving the highest quality of care. Responsible for directing and coordinating the day-to-day ADL’s and care of the residents in accordance with federal, state and local regulations. Develop, coordinate and implement staff development, new employee orientation and continuing education in-services. Responsible for performance evaluations, handling of grievances and disciplinary action for the CNA team. Provide support and advocacy for residents, their families and staff. Assist in family relations, addressing questions and concerns regarding their resident's health and nursing care. Identify risk management needs and initiate root-cause analysis. Interview, hire, orientate and schedule CNAs. Serve on various committees as designated by the Director of Nursing Services or Administrator. Assume responsibility of the nursing department in the absence of the Director of Nursing. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Administrator. Hours 25 hours per week 5 five hour days preferred, 4 days acceptable Suggested hours: 3 days 7:00a-12:00p, 2 days 12:00p-5:00p Must be able to come in on occasion to perform skill reviews on PM CNAs (7:00p-11:00p) Must have flexibility On-call floor nurse 1 weekend per month There is also a full-time CNA Coordinator who assists the ADON with the schedule, daily CNA assignments, finding staffing coverage and performing skills reviews on CNAs. Minimum starting pay: $45/hr Requirements Current RN License in Illinois Compassion for the geriatric population Strong leadership skills: hands-on, approachable, team-player Excellent verbal, organizational and communication skills Critical thinking and problem-solving skills COVID-19 and Influenza Vaccine
Responsibilities
