ABOUT MOUNT HYBLA

The period house of Beechfield Manor has been beautifully maintained and carefully extended over time. We have accommodation for our residents in 67 single and one double room. All floors, bedrooms and sitting areas are accessible by spacious stairwells and two lifts, which are located in the centre of the building..
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse manager to join our expanding nursing home group. We are looking for a dynamic, organised individual who will drive resident safety and experience and lead our care teams to strive for excellence in all we do.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • NMBI Registered Nurse
  • Nursing management experience in the elder care setting
  • Post registration Management qualification in health or a related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of HIQA standards, regulations and governance in a Nursing Home setting
  • Proven track record in management
  • Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills
  • Ability to promote a team environment.
  • Sound decision making ability and results driven.
  • Willingness to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the company.
  • Qualification in Gerontology and/or Dementia would be desirable.
Responsibilities

THE ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING WILL PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL AND MANAGERIAL LEADERSHIP AT BEECHFIELD MANOR NURSING HOME. CO. DUBLIN. THE POST HOLDER WILL ACT AS A PROFESSIONAL VISIBLE ROLE MODEL.

  • Provide professional leadership, motivation and supervision to ensure the high standards of care.
  • Provide effective clinical and professional leadership that demonstrates the values and behaviours aligned to Beechfield Care Group ethos and act as a role model for all staff within the nursing home.
  • Provide line management and develop the clinical nursing teams, care teams and individuals as required within the Care Group.
  • Support the delivery of care through patient and staff engagement, clinical supervision and holding self and others to account for the delivery of care in the nursing home.
  • Develop innovative strategies to guide and coach Nursing/teams in developing and strengthening leadership skills in order to meet the responsibilities of their role and provide succession planning.
  • Deputise for the Director of Nursing when required.
  • Assist and act as a catalyst in determining service needs and plans in conjunction with the Director of Nursing and Management.
  • Ensure that resources are used effectively and appropriately.
  • Any other duties as required.
