The role you’ll contribute:
The Assistant Director of Records and Registration oversees student registration processes, maintenance of student records, and assists with graduation. Supervises assigned staff. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Assists Registrar with editing the Academic Bulletin, daily office duties and general registrar responsibilities including, but not limited to, student communication and record maintenance as requested.
  • Assists Registrar with graduation; coordinates program specific graduation processes, performs degree audits for all graduation applicants, confers degrees and ensures accuracy of graduation lists.
  • Creates and participates in commencement program.
  • Supervises support specialists and assigned staff, delegates appropriate tasks to the Office of the Registrar staff under his/her direct supervision.
  • Plans, coordinates, and supervises pre-registration, registration and add/drop procedures for academic sessions; ensures that students are registered in a timely and accurate manner and that registration information is posted accurately online
  • Communicates effectively with students, faculty, staff, internal and external customers.
  • Maintain official student computerized records including online collection of grades from faculty, official grade changes of student records, and the degree audit system; Computes student grade point average for honors, dismissal and other academic office needs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 2-years of experience in related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience in higher education

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED :

  • Masters degree in related area
  • Two years of experience with operations in the Office of the Registrar
  • Experience maintaining complex record systems
  • Experience with computerized information systems
  • Leadership experience
