Job Description We are seeking a commercially driven and inspiring sales leader to join Sofitel Brisbane Central as Assistant Director of Sales. This is a pivotal role focused on accelerating revenue growth across Corporate, MICE, Government, Leisure, Entertainment and Sporting segments while supporting and elevating the performance of our Sales & Events team. Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will manage and grow key accounts, secure new business, maximise yield and drive total hotel revenue across rooms, conferencing and F&B. You will play a critical role in achieving budgeted targets, improving RGI and delivering strong return on investment. You will develop and execute segment strategies, convert high-value opportunities, respond to RFPs and tenders within required timeframes, and maintain a strong, proactive sales pipeline. Through strategic prospecting, client engagement, site inspections and representation at industry events, you will strengthen market presence and expand our share across priority segments. As a leader, you will mentor and support the Sales & Events team to achieve individual and collective KPIs, fostering a high-performance, conversion-focused culture. You will work closely with Revenue, Marketing and Operations to ensure seamless handovers, exceptional client experiences and optimal commercial outcomes. Success in this role requires strong commercial acumen, a proven ability to win and convert business, confident negotiation skills and a strategic mindset. You are results-driven, highly organised and thrive in a fast-paced luxury environment. You lead by example, build long-term relationships and are passionate about delivering excellence aligned with Sofitel’s brand standards. Qualifications Proven sales experience within hospitality, business events or a luxury hotel environment. Demonstrated success achieving revenue and conversion targets. Experience managing corporate and MICE accounts. Strong negotiation, account management and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM systems (Delphi FDC preferred). Tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Business or Event Management (preferred).
