Objective: To empower families as active partners in their students learning by leading, developing, and implementing engagement strategies, workshops, and partnerships that connect home, school, and community.Work Location: This position does have work from home opportunity, however, much of the work requires an in person presence either at the TECCA office or alternate locations around Massachusetts.Position and Responsibilities: Event Coordination: Plan and implement a minimum of four in-person family/student events monthly across Massachusetts to foster community and engagement.Event Logistics: Monitor CORI checks, coordinate transportation for events, and ensure all logistical needs are met for family/student gatherings.Learning Coach Support: Host weekly virtual sessions on topics like school attendance, technology use, and academic support strategies.Student Connection Activities: Facilitate virtual or in-person social opportunities like clubs, interest groups, or extracurricular activities to enhance students’ sense of community.Peer Networking: Organize virtual or in-person peer mentoring programs to connect students and families with shared experiences (e.g., multilingual learners, military families, or those new to virtual schooling).Community Networking: Build and maintain a database of local resources, agencies, and opportunities for family and student engagement. Create and distribute a catalog of school and community-based services in both digital and print formats. This may include: working with local towns, libraries, school districts, etc. including attending school fairs and/or events.Collaboration: Partner with school/department leaders, social workers, counselors, and mental health staff to promote family wellness, post-graduation planning, and community learning events.District Calendar Management: Maintain a comprehensive calendar of school, district, and community events relevant to families.Welcome Sessions: Coordinate virtual welcome session offerings, communicate offerings to staff and families.
Summer New & Returning Family Onboarding: Oversee a summer onboarding program for new families including in person opportunities throughout August for prospective families and a summer learning series to prepare students & families for the start of the school year.Summer Outreach: Maintain a database of returning families who have not yet completed intent to return tasks and provide support as needed to ensure students have the best opportunity to start the school year on time.Orientation & Onboarding: Host weekly in-person welcome sessions at the district office to onboard new families and connect them with key resources and contacts.Enrollment Support: Assist prospective families with enrollment, providing guidance and resources to ensure a smooth transition into the school community.Marketing, Social Media, & ParentSquare: Develop and manage social media content, posting a minimum of twice weekly to highlight family/student engagement activities and other relevant content, facilitate marketing sessions for prospective families throughout the school year and summer, and be TECCAs Marketing Liaison/Representative.Enrollment Data Management: Assist with enrollment tracking, data entry, and analysis.Database of Venues: Maintain a database of venues and field trip sites along with contacts, cost, and staff/administrator reviews for the district to allow for smoother event planning.-Performs other duties as assigned by superviso
