Description
The Big Ten Conference is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Director, Officiating Technology. This position assists with day-to-day technical operations in the Conference's Command Center and Replay Center. The Assistant Director provides operational and technical support to assigned officiating coordinators to help advance the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall success of officiating and replay technology. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Support game-day operations within the Conference’s command and replay centers * Assist with the execution and oversight of technical officiating and replay operations across assigned sports * Monitor live events and collaborate with replay vendors to ensure high-quality performance and timely issue resolution * Provide operational and technical support for officiating technologies, including basic troubleshooting and escalation as needed * Partner with sport-specific officiating coordinators to support the effective use of replay and related systems * Assist in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of new officiating and replay technologies * Research emerging technologies and contribute to recommendations that enhance officiating operations * Support the integration and standardization of replay and officiating systems across sports * Help develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and operational best practices * Assist with preseason planning, system testing, and overall readiness efforts * Coordinate with external vendors and support ongoing communication and performance tracking * Contribute to data collection, reporting, and post-event analysis related to officiating and replay operations * Assist with budget planning, research, and expense tracking This job description is not an exhaustive list of all functions that the employee may be required to perform, and the employee may be required to perform additional functions and other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor’s degree is required * 2+ years of experience in replay, officiating, sports video coordination, or sports technology is required * Proficient with relevant technologies and software commonly used in replay, officiating, and sports video  * Ability to maintain punctual attendance, timely correspondence, and a keen eye to detail * Commitment to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours when necessary The Big Ten Conference is the strongest, most historic brands in all of collegiate sports.
