Description
[What the role is] Assists Deputy Director (CF) to plan, direct and control the finance and accounting activities of PA Headquarters which includes review and implementation of financial policies and procedures for payroll, fixed assets and donation management to strengthen PA’s accounting and governance capability. [What you will be working on] Supervises and guides staff to ensure smooth operations of the PA and provide up-to-date accounts and reports to management. Oversees and ensures efficient payroll processing for prompt and accurate payroll to PA staff. Oversees and facilitates the development and implementation of financial and payroll systems to meet operational requirements of PA. Oversees the PA Community Development Fund account to comply with Code of Governance for Charities and Institutions of Public Characters. Provides advice to PA Divisions and Offsites on financial and Statutory Board-Financial Reporting Standards (SB-FRS) accounting policies and procedures for Fixed Assets and Right-of Use (ROU) for operational efficiency and compliance. Strengthens governance framework for PA donations including compliance with PA Anti Money Laundering policy with insightful reporting to management. Oversees the compilation of consolidation annual statement of accounts and co-ordination of reports Reviews and develops internal checks and controls, SOPs, templates for proper accounting of assets and ROU to improve quality of PA’s financial standards and reporting. Reviews and updates PA financial policies and procedures to adopt the best practices and keep them relevant for compliance with SB-FRS and other mandatory accounting and audit regulations Liaises with government agencies and banks for external reporting and submission of reports.
