Description

JumpStart Learning Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Program Director to help oversee day-to-day operations at multiple preschool sites in the Edmonton area. You’ll work closely with our founder and leadership team to ensure our programs run smoothly, our educators are supported, and our families are engaged.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in early childhood education (JumpStart or similar program preferred)
  • Alberta Child Care Certification – Level 2 or Level 3 (required)
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with multitasking and traveling between sites

Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and coach educators; lead evaluations and professional growth
  • Conduct site visits to maintain program quality and licensing compliance
  • Review lesson plans and curriculum implementation
  • Order and deliver supplies; assist with scheduling and transitions
  • Communicate with families and resolve concerns
  • Plan and support open houses, family events, and staff workshops
  • Track staffing, incident reports, and maintain program documentation

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, year-round, salaried role
