Responsibilities
  1. Provide high quality evidence-based analysis and strategic advice across a range of national and Territory policy issues and programs
    that impact on the Northern Territory’s skills and workforce agenda.
  2. Produce high-level briefings and correspondence including Ministerial briefings, Legislative Assembly briefs, Cabinet Submissions,
    speech notes and research papers.
  3. Drive strategic and innovative thinking to identify options and generate solutions to resolve complex issues and effectively manage
    the unit’s functions and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Represent the department on cross agency, intergovernmental and national working groups to provide Northern Territory skills and
    workforce context.
  5. Maintain working knowledge of current and emerging workforce trends, and the skills needs of industry, business and individuals; and
    Inform negotiations, coordinate, monitor and report on national agreements.
