You’re a natural communicator, and an astute proactive sports marketer. You are more than a sports fan. Someone who’s able to spot the opportunity and consistently deliver campaigns, events and messaging that capture the attention of leaders across the industry.

Essentials

  • Demonstrable sports business experience and expertise, gained in a marketing and/or communications and PR role.
  • Extensive marketing and communication campaign management experience, with evidence of managing a variety of campaigns and reporting to/briefing senior stakeholders including clients.
  • A strong knowledge of the sports business landscape, key sports business structures and organisations, and the key strategic issues impacting the industry.
  • Proven experience of working with external stakeholders to plan, design and deliver events and content that meet agreed business outcomes.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, enabling you to foster strong connections across the team, client base, and wider firm to identify collaboration opportunities.
  • Strong ability to shape external and internal messaging that will raise awareness of Deloitte’s sports market offerings and client work in sport.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills.
  • Experienced stakeholder management and influencing skills, ability to work under pressure.
  • High risk awareness, to act as a guardian of the firm’s brand and reputation.
  • Commercial acumen, demonstrated through campaign and event reporting that showcases measurable business growth.

Desirables and experience

  • Existing relationships with key stakeholders and influencers within the sports business industry.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM software.
  • Experience collaborating within a network of marketing and corporate sponsorship teams.
  • Experience briefing creative agencies to produce impactful marketing/social media content and campaigns.
  • A self-starter, able to work autonomously and as a team.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and review marketing and communications campaign strategy, go-to-market plans, and budget.
  • Drive best impact and return on Deloitte in Sport’s flagship sports business sponsorships as the primary account manager.
  • Plan, promote, and execute key sports campaigns, business partnership activities, and events, liaising with global sports communities and stakeholders.
  • Advise the team on pertinent industry themes, issues, and messaging to “own” within the market, based on own sports industry and marketing knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities to raise awareness and drive action around Deloitte in Sport thought leadership and market offerings.
  • Guide the development of Deloitte’s Sports Business Group external campaigns and messaging, working with Deloitte UK and Deloitte Global marketing and sponsorship teams in an integrated communications timetable and approach.
  • Act as an advisor to our clients who are looking to maximise their marketing communications strategy
