HRUC (Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is an ambitious College Group, which brings together three colleges across five vibrant campuses.
Reporting to the Group Director for Marketing, Brands and Communication, you would oversee the development and evolution of our brands within the HRUC portfolio, ensuring the storytelling is distinctive, clear and resonates with our different audiences, including our diverse student community. We want to be known within and well beyond the further education sector for the outstanding work of our extraordinary students and staff. You would ensure our marketing and communications support the exciting growth of the College and its commercial and collaborative activities, whilst nurturing its wider reputation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing a compelling brand narrative across the college group to protect and grow our brands
  • Responsibility for brand governance and ensuring consistency and quality across our colleges
  • Establishing protocols for the management of existing brands, and assessment of risks and opportunities prior to the acquisition of any future brands
  • Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for brand initiatives and campaigns
  • Regularly analysing and reporting on the performance of brand activities, using data-driven insights to refine strategies
  • Identifying exciting new routes for brand growth through improved brand awareness, recognition, sponsorship, partnership, and collaboration opportunities

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and innovative individual who can demonstrate the following:

  • Degree in Marketing/Brand Management or similar, or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in creating and maintaining a compelling brand narrative
  • Experience in brand governance, ensuring consistency and quality across all marketing touchpoints
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to build positive partnerships
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders
  • Strong experience in conducting and leading market research, competitor analysis, and understanding core audiences and personas

The postholder will need to be willing and able to travel across all College sites (Uxbridge, Harrow and Richmond).
