  1. Act as the first point of contact for all patient, answer patient calls, emails and questions, including finding insurance estimates.
  2. Educates patients and their families on the care plan, provides details related to treatments, procedures, medications, and continuing care requirements.
  3. Discuss cost of service, insurance coverage, and payment options with the patient.
  4. Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
  5. Assist care team with setting goals for quality assurance and best practices.
  6. Develop and maintain a clear and up to date knowledge of the services available, patient pathways and availability to ensure effective and efficient utilization of appropriate service provision by directing patients to these services as appropriate.
  7. Ensure urgent referrals, telephone calls, e-mail or written queries are answered within the agreed time and in line with the practice policy.
  8. Ensure prompt response to insurance queries within the agreed and stipulated timeline.
  9. Provide community resources and referrals for continuing care.
  10. Respects patient’s rights by maintaining their confidentiality.
