Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Dispatch Manager to join our existing team at our site in Cowdenbeath. Reporting directly to the Assistant Dispatch Manager, you will be entrusted with a high degree of independence and have a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful impact towards our ever-growing business.
Responsibilities

· Monitors and manages systems for stock control and the dispatch of goods.

  • Support the Dispatch Manager in organising site and despatch activities, efficiently and cost effectively, following daily plans

· Records stock information accurately and promptly.
· Processes orders efficiently and on time.
· Overseas the receipt of goods and ensures timely dispatch of orders.

· Co-ordinates with key departments to ensure smooth operations in the despatch area.

  • Motivates and provides support to staff as and when required.
  • People management responsibility including undertaking of return to work interviews, recruitment interviews, conducting appraisals, inductions and team briefings
  • Supports relevant departments to ensure that all customer, regulatory or accreditation body enquiries, site visits and audits are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Oversees the yard area and ensures the yard is clean and tidy. Pallets / trays are organised and stored in the correct area
  • Ensure waste area is tidy at all times and ensure delivery of new skips when needed

The successful candidate will ideally be from a food manufacturing background and will have proven experience as a first line manager. You must be a proven problem solver who uses data and their initiative to resolve operational issues and drives continuous improvement. Strong logistic and analysis skills would be advantages.
This position will involves weekend working on a rotational basis.

Pay: £32,500.00 per year
