The Division of Hematology within Stanford University Department of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Division Manager (ADM) in Finance and Research to provide leadership for financial and research operations. The ADM organizes and manages all financial and research operations consistent with performance standards that ensure University, School, SHC, and department business standards and objectives are met. The ADM will work closely with an exceptional group of faculty and staff in a dynamic work environment.
The ADM will provide finance guidance, advice on best practices, and management of 200+ accounts with over 100 sponsored accounts, including NIH grants, contracts, clinical trials, and over 170 non-research accounts. They will collaborate and advise the Division Director on all finance and research matters, including staff recruitment, post-award management, gifts and endowments, and basic science research administration. They will manage, develop, and mentor the Division’s finance team. This includes interviewing candidates, hiring, onboarding, determining workload, training, guiding the development path, and overseeing the day-to-day duties of these positions.
This is a hybrid eligible position.
