Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is more than just a job—it’s the start of a rewarding career in housing enforcement. As an Assistant Enforcement Officer, you’ll be part of a team dedicated to protecting residents and ensuring housing standards across Southwark. Your role will include:

  • Supporting enforcement officers in identifying, investigating, and resolving breaches of housing legislation.
  • Learning how to provide written or verbal advice, warnings, legal notices, and other enforcement actions.
  • Contributing to the maintenance and improvement of housing standards and well-being in our community.

We’ll provide on-the-job training and support to help you develop the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to progress to a Housing Enforcement Officer role in the future.
