QUALIFICATIONS & WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma holder or equivalent
  • Competent as Internal Auditor for Integrated Management System (ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001) is advantageous
  • Relevant work experience is advantageous
  • Experience as Safety or Quality Officer is advantageous
  • Experience in railway trackwork, construction or facilities management is advantageous
  • Experience in railway operations is advantageous

Technical Skills

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point)
  • Familiar with SAP is advantageous

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Assistant Engineer (Compliance) is to provide the support to Safety, Quality, Training and Maintenance Ops (SQTM) Department in all aspects of implementing, maintaining and continuously improving the compliance standard in Network System Maintenance Division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform audits and inspections

  • Conduct internal site audit / inspections (for both day and night activities)
  • Submit audit / inspection report timely
  • Highlight gaps and good practices pertaining to the work activities inspected
  • Perform ad-hoc audit as required through means such as CCTV, records, forms or other documented information
  • Review and validate objective evidence for closure of corrective action reports
  • Provide support for external audit (as and when required)

General support

  • Conduct briefing to staff during Safety Protected Time
  • Provide support to Division safety events
  • Updating of presentation materials / dashboard for regular meetings
  • Any other task assigned by the Reporting Officer
