Job Responsibilities Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to provide technical expertise and leadership to the engineering department. Assist in developing and implementing engineering strategies and innovation initiatives. Assist in managing and mentoring a team of engineers and technical professionals. Support the Chief Engineer in setting departmental objectives and monitoring team performance. Participate in the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. Help ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Assist in resource allocation and optimization to enhance project execution efficiency. Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to monitor resource utilization. Support the implementation of quality control measures and standards for engineering projects. Contribute to compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Assist in identifying and mitigating risks associated with engineering projects. Contribute to the development of contingency plans for potential issues. Collaborate with the Chief Engineer to develop and manage engineering budgets, including project budgets and capital expenditures. Assist in monitoring spending and controlling costs. Work closely with other departments, such as product development, research and development, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts. Support the management of relationships with external engineering vendors, suppliers, and contractors. Assist in contract negotiation and management. Contribute to the preparation and presentation of reports on engineering activities, project progress, and departmental performance to senior management and stakeholders. Person Specifications   A Degree / diploma in field of engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in hospitality industry Professional engineering licensure or certification may be required, depending on the industry and jurisdiction. Strong leadership and team management skills. In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and technologies. In-depth knowledge of ISO standards & sustainability requirements.  Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to develop and execute engineering strategies that align with organizational goals. Effective communication skills for interactions with team members, senior management, and stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. 3-5 years of experience in engineering roles with progressively increasing responsibilities
