We have a fantastic six-month opportunity to join our Thames Water Strategic Resource Options (SRO) team as the SRO Assistant Environment Manager. This is a unique opportunity where you will work across the Thames Water (SRO) project portfolio, which comprises c.£5bn to £6bn of investment over multiple AMPs to improve resilience to drought whilst protecting the environment.
You will be part of the Client team responsible for ensuring that the project’s requirements and outputs are aligned with the needs of the Water Resource Southeast regional plan and our Water Resource Management Plan.
The initial focus will be on the Southeast Strategic Resource Option (SESRO) reservoir and London Water Recycling scheme, as they are developed through the gated process specified by the alliance of regulators (known as RAPID).
As the projects proceed further through the regulatory process, the focus will be on developing the specifications and design principles to support the planning consent and procurement processes.
The role will assist the SRO Portfolio Environment Managers in setting industry-leading, project and programme standards. You will work closely with the Environment Managers, the Sustainability Manager and the Carbon Manager to assist in ensuring the projects meet the sponsor’s requirements.
