Description Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic Cherokee Town and Country Club – Sandy Springs, GA Cherokee Town & Country Club in Sandy Springs, GA is seeking a full-time Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic to join our golf course maintenance team. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who enjoys fixing things, takes pride in their work, and wants to be part of a supportive and fun team environment. What You’ll Do: As an Assistant Equipment Technician / Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical issues in a variety of golf course maintenance equipment. Your daily tasks will include: Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on mowers, tractors, and small engines Grinding reels and bed knives, sharpening rotary blades to keep mowing equipment in top shape Diagnosing and repairing 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines, both gasoline and diesel-powered Following proper procedures for recycling and disposal of fluids (oil, antifreeze, filters, etc.) Keeping the work area safe, clean, and organized Reporting equipment needs and repair concerns to the Equipment Manager or Superintendents What We’re Looking For: Experience with small engine repair (2-cycle and 4-cycle) Prior experience sharpening mower blades Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to lift/move heavy objects and work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset Are you organized, safety-conscious, and great at troubleshooting?
