JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Faculty Center Head Events Coordinator, this position will assist with logistics for the Faculty Center’s workshops, seminars, and activities. It will also support the Head Events Coordinator with relevant tasks related to event planning and other projects as assigned.

Minimum education/experience required:

  • 1 year related professional experience (e.g., customer service or events or planning or logistical work)
Responsibilities

Event Logistics and Planning:

  • Assist the Head Events Coordinator in providing support for logistics for meetings, workshops, seminars, and banquets
  • Assist in printing handouts for workshops and seminars
  • Assemble Spring Seminar binders, New Chair Orientation binders, Mentor binders, and Financial Planning binders
  • Carry out additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Head Events Coordinator to support faculty events.
  • Assist the Head Events Coordinator in inputting information into the Faculty Center database for events and related data while maintaining the confidentiality of faculty personal information.
  • Assist in compiling and organizing feedback on presenters and event experiences from surveys.
  • Assist in processing transactions and making purchases for Faculty Center program events.
  • Assist with maintaining an inventory of all event supplies.
  • Follow on-campus policies and protocols to maintain compliance with university regulations

Campus and Faculty Relations:

  • Provide customer service and excellent public relations (via both face-to-face and digital communications) in our outreach efforts to engage over 1,800 full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, and academic leaders across the university campus community
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with coordinating units, including BYU Scheduling, BYU Catering, Audiovisual techs, Custodial, BYU Conference Center, Hinckley Center, etc.
