THE COMPANY …

Twelve Event Management and Twelve Restaurant is seeking an Assistant Events and Restaurant Manager to join its exciting and passionate team. The business is privately owned and includes a busy outside catering and events company whose clients include some of the most iconic venues in the North West of England. Alongside this the company currently owns an award-winning restaurant which has been established for 25 years and has both Michelin and AA accreditation. The business is family owned and has family values at the core of its ethos, whilst in time the business is looking to focus purely on its events business, the successful applicant would be expected to work within both businesses.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR …

We are looking for a confident, self-motivated individual to join our team at Twelve. We have an extensive portfolio of high-profile clients spanning corporate events and covers everything from canapé events to bespoke weddings throughout Lancashire. No two days will be the same, you might be working at an awards dinner one week and delivering a 150 person wedding the next.
Suitable applicants are likely to have previous experience in the events and restaurant sector and are seeking a new challenge to join a highly motivated award-winning team.
We are looking for a confident individual, who is friendly and personable with excellent communication skills to interact with both our staff and customers.
A highly organised individual with impeccable attention to detail in delivery of every aspect of the hospitality business.

KEY SKILLS

  • Essential: Clean Driving Licence, own car to drive to venues
  • Essential: A natural people person with bundles of energy
  • Essential: Previous experience working on events of all sizes
  • Essential: Previous experience working in a restaurant
  • Essential: Good organisational skills with an exceptional eye for detail
  • Desirable: Experience working for an event catering company or managing the catering aspects of an event.
    This is a full-time position working 5 days out of 7, flexible to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of the business.

Responsibilities
  • The role is mainly operational and includes working both out on the events and in the restaurant, whilst there are some office duties on a weekly basis.
  • As part of the event team you will take the lead on a variety of different events operations including running weddings, corporate hospitality, and banquets.
  • Assisting with the setup, management and break down of our events across Lancashire.
  • Handling the health and safety aspects of events and ensuring standards are maintained.
  • Hands on service in the restaurant on some shifts assisting with the day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
