Position: Assistant Executive Housekeeper (Inspector) Property: Live Oak, Charleston Historic District, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel Reports to: Executive Housekeeper Join the Legacy of Live Oak! JOB OVERVIEW The role of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper (Inspector) is to assist in supervising the housekeeping and laundry operation to ensure product quality standards are met and that uncompromised service is provided to hotel guests.  DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsibilities are diverse in nature and include, but are not limited to: * Assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees. * Optimize room cleaning process to help housekeepers perform their duties on time and on budget. * Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads. * May assist with deep cleaning projects and/or assist housekeeping staff during high-volume periods. * Work with the management team to help drive improvements in team member engagement that are aligned to the service philosophy. * Inspect all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, guest rooms/suites, equipment, linens, and public areas are clean and in good repair to meet guest satisfaction.  * Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed. * Routinely perform all housekeeping duties necessary including making beds and vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure guest satisfaction. * Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction. * Carry out special needs and requests of the guests, VIP’s and repeat visitors. * Ensure rooms are 100% clean and properly prepared so our guests are comfortable and can rest well. * Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining “green” initiatives (example: container recycling and cleaning agents). This will include keeping an inventory log and being aware of budgets and forecast for housekeeping expenses. * Perform other duties as assigned.    QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS * High school diploma / secondary education / equivalent plus 2 years of housekeeping experience including some supervisory training/experience.  * Must be able to speak local language(s). The Executive Housekeeper a member of the senior management team and eligible to serve as Manager on Duty.  * This position will also require access to a personal telephone in case of emergency or offsite need and access to internet for email communication.
