Our opportunity
As Assistant Facility Manager, you will assist with the maintenance and operation of building services within the asset(s), ensuring the asset is presented in optimal condition, maintained in good repair, utilised in the most cost-effective manner and serviced in accordance with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities:

Provide an exceptional customer experience by building strong relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) and ensure a high level of communication by responding to, and actioning, requests in a timely manner
Provide support to ensure any identified risks are regularly reviewed and strategies implemented to eliminate, mitigate or minimise their impact
Support the development and delivery of projects in a way that creates a safe, sustainable and innovative culture that drives a competitive advantage for Mirvac
Create and approve work orders, tax invoices, service and minor capital works contracts within delegated limits of authority
Daily inspection of all plant and equipment to ensure operational readiness for occupancy/trade
Assist with the preparation of scope of works for planned operational or minor capital projects, including all relevant documentation and data entry
Escalate all critical service interruptions with an understanding of the impacts on our customers and tenants
Assist in the management of all contractors and service providers, and their ongoing performance, in accordance with Mirvac policies and procedures
Monitor and ensure up to date maintenance of all statutory logs, Asset Registers and planners relevant to the assets
Understand the NABERs rating scheme and its major influences, and apply at an asset level
Ability to be on call 24/7, work on weekends and attend to after-hours calls
Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to ensure system/data integrity, efficient information flow and to drive portfolio wide excellence and efficiencies through consistency of approach, reporting and transfer of experiences and learnings
Champion the consistent application of the key Mirvac values, leading by example and promoting a high-performing and collaborative environment
Your point of difference
2+ years of experience in all facets of facilities management typically stemming from a solid administrative and/or technical background
Demonstrated experience in a high-volume role with conflicting priorities
Understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, HSE, DDA and other risk management issues
Detailed understanding and practical experience of BMCS systems
Experience managing contractors and contract schedules and ensuring prompt payment
Technical competency with trade or tertiary qualifications preferred, but not essential
A customer-centric focus with the ability to develop and maintain exceptional stakeholder relationships, and liaise with people at all levels
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work effectively, ensuring deadlines are achieved on time
Understanding of project management and risk management
Ability to adapt to change, deal with ambiguity and complexity
Proactive and self-motivated mindset, with the ability to solve issues as they arise and to improve system and process efficiencies and effectiveness
A commitment to quality, professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail
Strong communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills
