Description

APG Workforce is currently seeking an a 2IC Farm Manager to join a well-established organisation supplying high-quality fresh eggs to the retail market, based in Goulburn.


We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven leader with strong experience in poultry, livestock, or broader agricultural operations. The successful candidate will be confident managing both people and production to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-performing farm operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of poultry farm operations, including feeding, watering, egg collection, and environmental controls (temperature, ventilation, lighting)
  • Lead, train, and supervise farm staff to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Set clear daily priorities, monitor team performance, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Ensure the health, welfare, and humane treatment of all birds in line with animal welfare standards
  • Monitor flock performance (egg production, bird health, weights, and mortality) and implement corrective actions as required
  • Coordinate maintenance of farm sheds, equipment, and machinery, including repairs and servicing
  • Manage inventory of feed, medications, and farm supplies, including ordering and supplier liaison
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, WHS, and quality assurance standards
  • Assist with budgeting, cost control, and achieving operational KPIs

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in poultry, egg production, or livestock or Breeder farm management
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop teams
  • Solid understanding of food safety, compliance, and farm operations
  • Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Forklift/tractor licence and MR/HR licence preferred; ChemCert highly regarded
  • Full Australian working rights (essential)
