Our client is a well-established and respected Australian horticultural business with a reputation for operational excellence and investment in their people. They're now looking for a hands-on Assistant Farm Manager to join their 220-hectare Cavendish banana operation at Innisfail.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be out in the operation, supporting the Farm Manager while building trust and credibility within an established, close-knit team.

• What You'll Be DoingSupporting crop production, irrigation, fertiliser programs, and pest control (IPM & bio-friendly methods)
• Leading and mentoring Supervisors, Workers, and Pickers to hit targets
• Driving a strong safety culture, WHS compliance, risk management, incident reporting, and training
• Maintaining QA accreditation and quality control standards
• Supporting the General Manager with harvest forecasts, KPI reporting, and budget tracking
• Building a positive, high-performing team culture

• About You5+ years' supervisory experience in banana farming (essential)
• Forklift licence, Chemicals Certification, and First Aid Certificate
• A hands-on leadership, with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
• A commercially focused, continuous-improvement mindset
