Your role at Clorox:
This role oversees all Fixed Assets Accounting tasks for Domestic and LATAM regions, managing a team of three direct reports. It provides leadership and guidance based on ASC 360, Property, Plant, and Equipment, as well as the company’s fixed assets policies and procedures. As a key partner for the Supply Chain organization, this role handles all Capital Expenditure matters across all Business Units. Responsibilities include asset capitalizations, depreciation runs, fixed assets reserve entries, GL reconciliations review, and fixed assets roll forward and analytics. Additionally, the role focuses on process improvements and project support.

In this role, you will:

  • Oversee fixed asset processes for the Domestic Product Supply Organization and LATAM countries, ensuring all Capex projects are capitalized correctly, in the appropriate period, and in compliance with the Fixed Assets Corporate Policy. Supervise and manage a team of three direct reports (2 GL22 and 1 GL23).
  • Perform monthly close activities, including capitalizations review, Capex IO settlement run, depreciation run, fixed asset reserves journal entries, and GL reconciliations review for Domestic and LATAM entities.
  • Perform quarterly close activities, including Fixed Assets Total Company roll forward and analytics. Provide support to Consolidations Accounting for any cash flow requirements related to PP&E.
  • Timely delivery quarterly and annual Fixed Assets PBC requests and provide support/clarification to the external auditors
  • Coordinate and perform annual physical inventory for Domestic and LATAM entities and Total Company Asset Retirement Obligation processes based in the Clorox Corporate Procedures
  • Perform special project work to identify and implement efficiencies in the Fixed Asset Accounting activities.

What we look for:

  • +5 years of experience in an accounting and finance organization, mix of public accounting and private industry preferred
  • Advanced English level (Mandatory)
  • Strong people management experience
  • Strong attention to detail resulting in consistently reliable, accurate and thorough work.
  • Strong planning and organization skills with ability to prioritize.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills and ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting policies, US GAAP and financial statements.
  • SAP, HFM or other ERP systems experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel and BI.
