Job Summary ​The Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager will be responsible for the full spectrum of financial management and project accounting. This role serves as a key bridge between project operations and financial reporting, ensuring that all construction costs, revenue recognition, and statutory requirements are managed with high precision to support the company’s growth. Job Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Lead the end-to-end preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in a timely manner. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial activities strictly adhere to Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), the Companies Act 2016, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, and prevailing tax/SST regulations. Project Accounting: Oversee project costing, Work-in-Progress (WIP) tracking, and revenue recognition based on the percentage of completion (POC) method. Cost Management: Review subcontractor claims and progress billings while ensuring accurate cost coding and rigorous margin analysis to protect project profitability. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth statutory compliance. Audit Management: Coordinate and manage the annual audit and quarterly review processes to ensure zero findings and timely submission. Planning & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting exercise and develop detailed financial forecasts and cash flow projections to optimize liquidity. Management Insights: Provide comprehensive variance analysis and management reports to assist senior leadership in strategic decision-making. Cash Flow & Funding: Monitor project-specific cash flow requirements and manage drawdown facilities with financial institutions. Process Improvement: Continuously refine internal control systems and SOPs to mitigate risks within the project development lifecycle. Feasibility Support: Provide financial input and data analysis for new project feasibility studies and land acquisition proposals. Requirements Education: Candidate must possess at least a Professional Qualification (ACCA/CPA/MICPA/MIA) or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of working experience, with a mandatory background in the Property Development or Construction industry. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of MFRS (specifically relating to property development), project costing, and Bursa Malaysia reporting standards. Attributes: Strong analytical skills, a high level of integrity, and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight reporting deadlines. Communication: Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; ability to communicate effectively with both site operations and corporate management teams.
