JOB MISSION: The primary focus of this role is to provide comprehensive support to the EMEA GL Financial Accountants. The successful candidate will assist with key aspects of financial accounting across multiple EMEA subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build collaborative relationships with EMEA Finance teams. This is a 12 month fixed term contract position. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES: Intercompany Accounting Compile and reconcile intercompany balances across multiple entities. Resolve discrepancies promptly and maintain clear documentation for audit and reporting purposes. Take ownership of intercompany processes during month-end close. Fixed Asset Management Maintain and update the fixed asset register across EMEA entities, ensuring correct allocation, documentation and classification of transactions. Prepare and cleanse data for ERP transition. Manage recharges for non-UK assets. VAT Compliance and Reporting Prepare VAT returns across assigned EMEA entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely submission in line with local regulations. Support Financial accountants on VAT returns across other EMEA entities by preparing data and completing balance sheet reconciliations. Support Financial Accountants by investigating discrepancies and implementing process improvements to strengthen VAT compliance. Audit and Financial Support Prepare audit deliverables, including reconciliations and supporting documentation. Collaborate with EMEA finance teams to provide guidance and assistance on GL-related queries. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the GL function. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance, with the relevant number of years of experience in a financial accounting role, ideally within a multi-entity or shared service environment. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams. Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel is desirable. A great team player.
