Assistant Financial Accountant
Bristol | £32,000 – £40,000 | Hybrid Working
We’re working with a growing and commercially driven business in Bristol that is looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Financial Accountant to support their expanding finance function. This is an outstanding opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to step into a role with real impact, clear progression, and exposure across financial reporting, controls, and strategic finance projects.

The Role:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and journals
  • Contribute to financial controls and compliance processes
  • Work with the wider finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc projects
  • Identify and drive improvements across systems and reporting

What We’re Looking For:

  • Part-qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or finalist with strong technical grounding
  • Previous experience in financial or management accounting
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive mindset
  • Confident communicator, able to work cross-functionally
  • Ambitious, reliable, and ready to step into a role offering development and responsibility
