Assistant Financial Controller Responsibility Working Capital and Treasury Lead for APAC ● Lead the team to continually achieve operational excellence and drive continuous improvement for collections, and evolve cash applications process with automation ● Partner with the business to assess and recommend customer financial and credit risk providing solutions to support our business growth whilst maximising our cash cycle days and protecting against risk ● Develop and implement new strategies and reporting methods to further enhance the credit management process ● Oversee routine vendor payments, employee expense reimbursements, and to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time ● Manage T&E expense management system, ensuring compliance, training, and optimal configuration for regional usage ● Robust Cash flow projections across all entities across APAC ● Proactive analysis against FX impacts in APAC with recommendations and solutions ● Ensure optimal cash utilization, transfers and intercompany funding strategies APAC Growth and Expansion Projects ● Geographic expansion and Insourcing financial control lead ● Work closing with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with regional regulations/laws internally and externally, support audit as well ● Establishing an APAC internal control framework with a focus on expansion into markets like Thailand, Indonesia and India ● Automation - process streamlining to increase operational efficiency and productivity ● Lead ad hoc projects as and when required ● Develop finance team capabilities and provide ongoing training and mentorship to subordinates Requirements ● Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, or related fields; CPA/ACCA preferred ● 10+ years of financial management and operations experience ● Strong strategic thinking, financial analysis, and leadership skills,with the ability to work independently in fast-changing environments ● Excellent problem solving skills, curious and ambitious ● Clear and articulate communicator ● Worked across a number of countries in APAC including Greater China ● Ability to influence at all levels of organisation - subordinates, peers and cross functional stakeholders ● High integrity, sound judgment, and an entrepreneurial mindset ● Have a team-first attitude ● Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Commitment to Equal Opportunity At Flexport, our ability to fulfill our mission of making global commerce easy and accessible relies on having a diverse, dedicated and engaged workforce.
