Description

DRIVE FINANCIAL PRECISION AND SUPPORT KEY DECISIONS AS OUR ASSISTANT FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (MATERNITY COVER).

The finance team currently manages £35-40 m per annum and our portfolio is continually growing. This is a great role for someone who is looking for their next career move to work in an environment which exposes them to all the commercial aspects of a finance department. Our expectation is that you will have sound financial experience, with an advanced understanding and application of MS Excel skills and accounting software; with a clear focus on continuously improving technology within a finance team. We are looking for someone to join the Team in August / early September at the latest.

IDEALLY YOU WILL HAVE THE BELOW SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Financial Qualifications required (or working towards)
  • Highly computer literate with advanced skills in Excel, Word and Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills alongside attention to detail and a keen problem solver.
  • Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external clients and suppliers.
  • Ability to identify and work to accounts processing deadlines and manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in producing monthly management accounts to strict deadlines.
  • Experience of payroll and processing payroll elements (desirable.)
  • Manage, develop and motivate a finance team (Credit Control and Invoicing Departments)
  • Familiarity with audit preparation.
  • Understanding of labour-heavy opeations - dealing with payroll complexities, scheduling, and cost control per contract / client / site (desirable).
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Supporting the implementation and enhancement of finance systems and reporting tools.
  • Driving process improvement and automation within the finance function.
