JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Financial Controller to support the financial operations of our restaurant group in the UAE. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing financial reports, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the business. This role requires strong analytical skills, hospitality industry experience, and a proactive approach to financial management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the entire finance, procument & warehouse functions across all restaurant outlets, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with business goals.
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with IFRS and UAE accounting standards.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans in collaboration with senior management and operations teams.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to optimize revenue, control costs, and drive profitability across the business.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and other relevant tax laws; coordinate timely filings and audits.
  • Manage banking relationships, treasury functions, and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
  • Oversee procurement finance, inventory control, menu costing, and supply chain finance to improve cost efficiencies.
  • Evaluate financial risks and opportunities, recommend strategies for financial growth, and support decision-making at the executive level.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, legal advisors, and consultants to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide financial leadership during expansion projects, including new outlet openings, franchising, or capital investments.
