Description

“Shaw Trust promotes team spirit, inclusiveness and it is an organisation where everybody is somebody. I am proud to be part of this great organisation.”
At Shaw Trust we believe everyone has the right to live a decent and dignified life and an opportunity for rewarding work. We are a social purpose organisation challenging inequality and breaking down barriers to enable social mobility.
For us being part of the solution is about creating the conditions for this to happen, advocating and delivering services that make a real difference. Working in partnership not competition, we are part of an eco-system of purpose-led organisations, striving for a fairer, more equal society centred on opportunity for all.
Purpose
Shaw Trust is a leading UK charity, being a key provider of employability services for DWP, justice services through HMPPS, education services with the DfE, fostering and child support services for OFSTED and CQC, and much more.
This role is part of the development of a Group Finance team and will have opportunities to gain experience in both financial reporting and tax compliance work across a wide group structure.
We need someone who is comfortable working remotely while developing excellent working relations with colleagues across a large (c.£200m) turnover, multi-location organisation

YOU WILL:

be actively working towards CCAB qualification or equivalent
have relevant experience of monthly management accounts or annual statutory accounts or tax regulatory returns
have experience of improving systems and processes
have the ability to communicate complex financial information in a straightforward way
